A state stamp design made specifically for the state of Ohio. It depicts a walleye, a commonly-stocked game fish, that is also the noted state fish of Ohio. As the state’s name is rather short and for the easy opening made from the ‘o’ at the beginning, incorporating the state’s name was a more comfortable fit when deciding to use it hooked bait for the walleye.
